Hi all!
Sorry for not communicating in French.
My only hope to switch to French is Google translator but I don't trust to this tool so much
Got a chance to test new bar for 2 sessions.
Overall impression - excellent, excellent, excellent, excellent
Good job Nicolas and the team!!!
Cool things to mention:
-quick adjuster: super easy and fast to change the width;
-new lines and tips. First impression really good. Especially the solution for line tips. This is the idea I mentioned to Nicolas ~1,5 years ago. Looking back to previous seasons the quality of the lines and line tips was the weakest part of the equipment. By solving this Zeeko is close to perfection
-colors and design - looks good and makes good impression to any newcomer to Zeeko.
New depower system - clamcleat. Personally for me the depower straps (like NEW GEN bar in 2011) was good and satisfying. The system of UDS was innovative and good for freeride. I hope the UDS version won't disappear from the range of Zeeko. (UDS 2014 version to come?)
Clamcleat - I don't have any concerns about it except how long will serve the depower line. After 2 sessions the part of the line (which is fixed by clamcleat and not covered by PU tube) looks suspicious. Will see after few more sessions...
Depower line with PU tube cover. This is the part I would like to change. There are 2 concerns.
First - how stiff and inelastic it will become in low temperatures (since here in Latvia we are going on the water even below +5). Might be difficult to turn the kite at the same moment pulling/pushing the bar.
Second - what happens if the depower line wears out in places under the PU tube, or, places where its connected to PU. I would prefer "to see the depower line and how it doesn't wear out" instead of "not seeing the line under the PU and how its wearing out".
If there will be a need to change the depower line I would probably stick to clean line without the PU cover.
Have a good summer winds!!!
Regards from Lettonie!!
