Depower length 2009 bar and lines

lovin my zeeko's BUT...
struggling a little with the depower line length, in tough conditions if I have let go of the bar I find it a little out of reach.
notice on the 2010 bars the depower length has been reduced from 54 to 46cm.
Can I do the same on the 09 depower rope?
dont think I would need to reduce any of the line length but.... just checking...would I have to reduce the length of any other lines?

Some riders replace the depower rope on the 2009, you loose some depower but you have to reduce the back line as the depower rope.

Otherwise you can put an abutment on the depower rope and you have big depower AND the bar stay easy to catch
